Physiognomy of a Woman - Chapter IX. - Hair

Hair is an outgrowth of protein, found only on mammals.[1] It projects from the epidermis, though it grows from hair follicles deep in the dermis. Although many other organisms, especially insects, show filamentous outgrowths, these are not considered "hair". They are more like whiskers. So-called "hairs" (trichomes) are also found on plants. The projections on arthropods such as insects and spiders are actually insect bristles, composed of a polysaccharide called chitin. The hair of non-human mammal species is commonly referred to as fur. There are varieties of cats, dogs, and mice bred to have little or no visible fur. In some species, hair is absent at certain stages of life. The main component of hair fiber is keratin. Keratins are proteins: long chains (polymers) of amino acids.
source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair

<zaadz_holding id="84285" />
MORE COLORS AND MORE GIRLS
click above

Physiognomy of a Woman - Chapter VIII. - Mother Tongue

The book The Mother Tongue - english and how how it got that way (by Bill Bryson) isn't telling us how moms speak with babies, not at all. It's about English vs. other languages, as French, Japanese, Creole's, German, Italian, Spain and so on.
As Swiss, born in Zurich, my "Mami" spoke SwissGerman, so mother tongue (mothers tongue) was a Swiss Dialect (as spoken in Zurich).
Back to Bill Bryson's book in which he stated, that English didn't adopt of German words. Hmmm? Since 1995 I'm living in the U.S.A. (Colorado). I got the impression (and facts) that quite a lot of German words are in use in English, like :::
Achtung ( ) + Angst (n.) + Blitzkrieg (n.) + Dreck (n.) + Eigenwert (n.) + Hinterland + Kindergarten (n.) + Lebensraum (n.) + Noodle (n.) + Poltergeist (n.) + Rucksack (n.) + Schmooze (v.) + Schnitzel (n.) + Shlep (v.) + Verboten (adj.) + Wunderkind (n.) + Zeitgeist (n.) + Dachshund + Delikatessen + Ersatzkaffee (coffe substitute) + Götterdämmerung + Schutzhund (protecitve dog) + Sturm und Drang + Schadenfreude . . .
+++
and SPITZER and SPRITZER
<zaadz_holding id="74179" />BookCrossing Comments about THE MOTHER TONGUE < click

We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive.

The millimetre (American spelling: millimeter, symbol mm) is a unit of length in the metric system, equal to one thousandth of a metre, which is the current SI base unit of length.
The corresponding unit of area is the square millimetre and the corresponding unit of volume is the cubic millimetre.

: : :
Swiss Post Card 144 mm x 104 mm
BLICK NEWSPAPER SEPT. 23, 2007
DigiCollage by Hans Alfred Loeffler
<zaadz_holding id="49508" />

click > Get it from FLICKr < click
* * *

An inch (plural: inches; symbol or abbreviation: in or, sometimes, ″ - a double prime) is the name of a unit of length in a number of different systems, including English units, Imperial units, and United States customary units. Its size can vary from system to system. There are 36 inches in a yard and 12 inches in a foot. A corresponding unit of area is the square inch and a corresponding unit of volume is the cubic inch.
The inch is one of the dominant units of measurement in the United States, and is very commonly used in Canada. In the US and commonly in the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, personal heights are expressed in feet and inches by people of all ages. One cannot hide happiness. It sizzles from ones inner being, enters some place, and changes that surrounding. It also has a scent... Do you know? Happiness smells."

"Scent of happiness?"

"Yes, that is true. You probably never heard of it. Usually people are not aware of it. However, all emotional states have a particular scent. If human beings had not lost their sense of smell, they would know these. Unfortunately, like many other things, they also lost this one".

"You mean they knew these previously?"

"Of course they knew... Look, how important sense of smell is in the communication of animals."

"Yes, but it is because they can not talk."

"You think humans no longer need the sense of smell because they can talk, don't you?" "As you also know humans do not really talk. They make believe that they talk. There are words that they have learned. They tell these to each other."

"In reality only a few, talk for a very short time. Watch them and listen... There are no words of feelings. They tell each other the things they have to tell. No wonder, most of the time they do not listen. Those who do not really speak and listen cannot communicate anymore, because they have lost two important communication tools: sense of smell and sense of touch, the two ways to really communicate... Humans have forgotten both."

"Now, do I say that people have to smell eachother?" "No. To smell is such an elaborate ability that humans need to be retrained for it, our poor sense of smell. It has been degenerated with such bad odors, that it needs to be reanimated. You know, humans can not smell the scent of humans anymore... Scent of a woman, scent of a man. Scent of a child. Scent of an elderly. Scent of hope. Scent of despair. Scent of disappointment. Scent of happiness. Humans have lost all.

Same is true with the sense of touch. Humans have lost it too. The touch of one hand over another. Touch of one shoulder on another. Touch of one back against another. Feet swirling around each other. Bodies touching against each other. There is so much that we have forgotten!"

"I wish I could defend our contemporary human species. "But, there are words... There is script... May be that is why we have forgotten."

"Yes, words... the media for our lies. Script, the instrument of our lies. Since we do not know how to say or write what is really inside, they are the instruments of our lies. However a body, a touch cannot lie. They communicate what is really inside. Only the reality."

"A real master of the world of perfume once had said: "Perfumes are the products of the addition of human genius to what nature has given; however no perfume is a real scent until it touches a woman's body. What gives the special character to a perfume is the scent of that certain woman's body. That is why every perfume is different on every woman. The mastery of wearing a perfume comes from knowing the amount to be worn, so that this special mixture comes into existence. If it is not worn in this special way, that woman smells like that particular perfume; if it is worn with this mastery, that woman smells like herself. What is really important is not the perfume, but that woman's special scent. You can find it in the dresser where she keeps her clothes, in her lingerie, in her private places. Watch out, you would never actually know a woman if you do not recognize her special scent".

What a pity... We do not know how to value the scent of humans.

One day, you will recognize the "scent of happiness". You will see that rosy pink on the skin. It is the light pink that accompanies the first beams of dawn. That special pink of happiness, coming into existence in a shy and timid way, but then spreading with courage, giving strength and making itself felt. Look at this pinkness carefully. , There you will see a misty moisture. An evaporating moisture, ever flying, ever renewing, mixing into the air. A spring freshness, a tendril taste which urges one to utter, "There is something about you. As if you are in love." Approach that body. Approach and smell the scent of happiness. Smell the scent of those thousands of harmonious odors oozing out. From pink to lavender, from sea blue to sunny yellow. That special scent of changing rainbow colors. That scent of happiness that soothes, comforts, which stirs, exults, which silences or forces to speak. Smell it. It is the most magnificent scent in the world. It is what the baby smells in the mother. It is what the mother smells in the baby. It is what the lover smells in the loved one. But this scent does not happen out of nowhere. It requires effort. The light of the days, nights and dawns need to be enmeshed within each other.... It requires to appreciate one another in times of hope and hopelessness... The scent of happiness is not in the waves of the ocean, nor in the rivers reaching that ocean. It is only in the human. It is that scent which comes into being in one through the other. It is that scent which makes the human. It is the scent of love. Scent of security. The scent of "I am grateful that you are ". Hans is a born Swiss, and old man you may say, since 2000 an US citizen. I need for now at least $261 to pay for MEDICARE-B ... please.

Once upon a time ~1200 A.C., when the were no U.S.A. and also no Social Security, when people lived on the mercy of their Kings, Governors and other from God given authorities, when a life wasn't much worth, children unprotected, and often under awful circumstances, like their parents and every one else who

didn't have money.

A man from the Canton URI got in some troubles with the governor named Gessler (from Austria). He rejected to salute the hat of the governor which was placed in the village square of Altdorf in Helvetia, the name of Switzerland then.

Tell protested in vain, begging him for God's sake not to require him to do this.

"I would rather die," he said.

"Thou and thy child shall both die if thou wilt not obey," replied Gessler.

So Tell was led out into the village square. His son was placed before a tree, and an apple was laid on the child's head. All the people looked on in pity and fear, and murmured against the tyrant for this cruel plan.

Tell prayed fervently to God to protect him and his loved boy. Then he took his crossbow, drew it, and placed the arrow upon it, put another into his jerkin, and shot at the apple. And behold! the apple was cleft clean in two, the arrow lodged in the tree behind, and the child stood forth unhurt. Truly that was a wonderful shot.

Laptop computers, or notebooks, are the choice ...

*
(1)
. . . . for working and staying connected on the move . . . .
Laptops help keep you in touch
and able to access information you need quickly when it's used away from your desk. However, before you buy a notebook computer it's helpful to learn more about
how to set them up and use them properly, so you can choose the
right model and accessories for your needs.
*
(2)
. . . . for sitting on it, i.e. using it as chair pillow . . . .
DON'T DO IT - as I did - I'M SORRY

*
(3)
. . . . Using notebook computers ergonomically is a challenge . . . .
These portable computers have not been designed to be a substitute
for a desk-based computer, but their popularity has resulted in them
being used that way for many consistent working hours.
It is important to know how to position your laptop computer,
for example on an ergonomic laptop desk with a wireless keyboard and mouse,
because the screen and keyboard areas are attached
which make proper ergonomic positioning and comfort difficult.
Information taken from UCLA and other studies are summarized below.
If you use your notebook computer for periods of several hours or more
continually, as is typical of desktop computers,
consider purchasing ergonomic accessories
such as a height and tilt adjustable laptop stand or laptop drawer .
* * *
source (1) + (3)
http://www.ergoindemand.com/laptop-computer-use.htm
-
source (2)
THE CRACKED BLUE
a silly and expensive story by Hans Alfred Loeffler
and Compac Pesario 2100
* * *
(4)
. . . .

* 1 *
Big breasts aren't always great.
This BBC documentary details the hardships
of living with
an unusually large chest.
<zaadz_holding id="35975" />*
*2*
Beautiful breast of an "angry bar code"
aka Noelle at
http://angrybarcode.zaadz.com/photos/view/211915
*
*
Noelle "titled" her photo "shameless". I suggested to call it BELLEVUE.
*
*3*
What's the REALITY, for example of
(for Big Breast see *1* - for Nice Breast see *2*)
*
Small-Breasted Women?
by Amanda LaConte, Freelance Writer
- - -
Okay, take a deep breath and say it with me, “I have small breasts and I am proud.”
Unlike my older sister, I am one of the many small-breasted women of America.
I’m physically active and I love to dance.
It’s just a little unfair when I turn on Baywatch or watch Britney Spears
shake her hips on MTV.
I feel that the smaller the waist is,
the smaller the boobs should be.
Everywhere I look, the unrealistic figure is being displayed.
Whether it’s TV, movies or the latest edition of Vogue,
the media creates an unrealistic figure that both
men and women desire.
As a result, most men think this shape can and should be achieved.
Women attempt to fulfill the fantasy through the classics:
clothes, surgery, and dieting. Have no fear;
I am happy with the breasts that I’ve got.
Although people perceive me as unsatisfied
because I’m small breasted, I’m actually perfect in my eyes.
*
source:
http://www.teenscenemag.com/sections/reallife/reality/breasts.php

* * * * *
<zaadz_holding id="48836" />CHERYL's HUNGER IS THE BEST CHEF
FLICKr SET GRILL ENYOY BUT CLEAN
http://www.flickr.com/photos/yes2art/sets/72157602076425471/
Photo above by Hannes 6/1/2007 4:03 pm MST

* * * * *
