Sculpture StringPhobia August 31, 2007 5:23 p.m. Denver : (1) There are 135 miles of biking and hiking trails within the metro area, many of which follow the area's natural river systems. Two of these rivers converge Downtown, making it possible to bike to work from almost any direction. To access maps of trails throughout Denver < click link above(2) On August 31, 2007 I mounted my own bike to drive to Walgreens, picking-ub some Rx pills I need to sleep. It was more than a year ago since I made such a "long" ride. And it was quite hot, 95 F .....(3) I made a "detour" after Rx pick-up through my former neighborhood along Josephine St .... where I stopped on the walkway vis-a-vis 1319 Josephine, Denver CO 80206 - still sitting on my bike photographed a sculpture right over the street. MY OWN SCULPTURE < click > and continue reading with (4) JANET's HEALTH ADVISE :::I really get alot by getting up early and riding my bike out of the city microwaves and sitting silently for a few minutes.  In the evening before sunset I go to a local park where the grass is not sprayed and walk consciously barefoot for twenty minutes( maybe stand with my back against a tree) and then sit again a few minutes.  This simple routine is a miracle.  I feel staying physically connected to the earth is the best nutrition and medicine for me now .  It is affordable that's for sure.  Just got to keep a look out for the car drivers.(5) Request by Janet Carney, artist ::: Please view my paintings in my photo album and by going to Google and type in Janet Carney artist .....JEANET CARNEY ARTIST IMAGES FROM GOOGLE

Root Extraction Sculpture - Detail E=mc2 : For my sculpture ROOT EXTRACTION I needed some "head text" with square-root symbol. Since Albert Einstein's E=mc2 was known by me (and I like Einstein very much) I changed his formula [see photo = I also replaced c (celeritas) with v (velocity)]

Mothersday 2005, 3D study for Necklace design : The past ~1998: Jan (aka Hannes) Loeffler's design in this heavy weight (1 3/4" x 1 1/8" = 44.5 mm x 28.5 mm) sterling silver necklace is hand cut by Melinda King local artist/silversmith of Fireworks Metal and Clay. The graphic emblem is recessed in the two layers of silver, emphasized with black oxidation to stand out from the highly finished sterling, and suspended from a 20 inch Italian sterling foxtail chain. Family Value III. - first acrylic-steel scupture : After my initial design was executed as a Silver Necklace, and there was such favorable response to the concept, Evelyn urged me to use this idea in a larger format. The challenge: How to metamorphose a single-lined 2-dimensional drawing to a 3D sculpture? Using non-transparent, galvanized metal sheets for the in-line and out-line form, cutting along the given line with a small 1/10" chisel - more than 8,000 hammer strokes - installing and fixing the two metal pieces on two transparent, bronze colored acrylic sheets which are mounted in to two layers.
